circa 1900s, 5 cent play, designed for use in commercial locations, Built very strong to withstand use in public places with heavy black cast iron legs.

This specific music box was pictured and featured in the November/December 2012 issue of the Journal of the Music Box Society International. The cover story was entitled "The Regina Musical Salesman".

Customers placed a nickel on the right side slot and played the twelve discs that are placed in sequence or selected a particular tune by using the rotary index nob on the right side.

According to the Ency of Automatic Musical Instruments by Q David Bowers, "the Stype 36 were scapped after their commercial usefulness, hence proportionally fewer Style 36s survive today than do the Style 35 music boxes that were made for home use."

It contains twelve 15 1/2 inch discs and a double comb. It has an oak cabinet. It dispenses a stick of gum with each play. Its dimensions are: 23" wide, 70" high, 21" deep.

Its serial number is 50852 According to the MBSI Regina factory records, it was sold in 1902 to Mandeville & Pender Billard & Pool Hall, located at 178 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport CT.

Only two or three examples of Style 36 are known to exist

Excellent Restored condition. This music box was purchased from MBSI member Allan Pall who specialized in restoring Regina coin operated music boxes.

circa 1908 - 1918. One cent play. It dispenses a stick of gum with each play.

The word “Regina” is stenciled in gold on wood portion of the front of the machine.

The Regina plays a 12 ¼” single comb disc. BeautifulyDimensions: 21 ½ high; 17” wide; and 11” deep.

Regina advertised this music box as "A Musical Salesman - Regina Gum Vending Machine"

Regina made only 160 of Style 18, very few are left in existence because they received rough treatment in commercial establishments Excellent Restored Condition

This model was discussed in the November/December 2012 issue of the Journal of the Music Box Society International in a feature article entitled "The Regina Musical Salesman".

Header has printed on it “Symponion Savings Bank” “You Pay – I Play”

Plays when any American coin or an English penny is inserted in top slot.

Crank operated wind-up mechanism. Metal discs are replaceable. Comes with six metal discs.

Bank is rated as Rare by Al Davidson in Penny Lane Book. Dimensions: 11" wide, 15" high, 7" deep

Circa 1908, made by Caille Manuf Corp

Two birds mountd on perches chirp and move heads, beaks, and tails in a lifelike manner when a nickel is inserted.

The birds are in a brass cage with a mahogany base that can be hung or placed on a countertop.

Width 10”; Depth 10”; Height 22”; and weights 16 pounds.

The machine was gone over by professionals, retubed and the mechanisms reworked where needed. It work great!
